Nagel acclaimed by baseball award

Mike Nagel’s roles for amateur baseball were recognized on Saturday night when he acknowledged by the Mike Downes Award for his exceptional service to the Minnesota Baseball Association. He received the award at the fall meeting of the association at the VFW Post East. The award has been awarded since 1981 as well as honors longtime amateur baseball official who has helped to maintain the city baseball team along the Iron Range. Mike Nagle had the similar impact across the United States Highway 212 and across the west-central Minnesota.

Team Blue Raider men's tennis faces an extra rigorous slate in the year 2012, as announced by head coach Jimmy Borendame in recent times. Middle Tennessee will face four teams in the NCAA Championship 2011, with three of them on the road."We have a tough schedule again this year, and we will address some of the best teams in the nation," said by Borendame. "Playing tough opponents on their home court will help our team to prepare to defend our title of the Sun Belt tournament in late April and make another trip to the NCAA regional final."
