Former MTSU basketball superstar Alysha Clark is going to get a second opportunity at her WNBA dream.

Clark has been appointed to the training camp roster of the San Antonio Silver Stars, the same team that chosen her in the second round of the year 2010 WNBA draft.

Clark was one of the final players relinquished from the Silver Stars roster past May. She spent the past year playing proficiently in Israel.

Clark couldn’t be reached for a talk. MTSU coach Rick Insell asserted that she worked really hard to get back to a WNBA camp.

"That is why she went (to Israel), to play against stronger and bigger players that were as good as she was. She needed to keep playing daily to be ready," Insell asserted. "I am not surprised she is getting another opportunity. Nothing Alysha Clark does surprise me. She thrives on folks telling her that she is not big enough or good enough. That encourages her, keeps her ticking."
