Bubba may retire from Golf after the FedExCup?

Year 2011 is working great for Bubba Watson. He has 2 wins, has make beloved himself to thousands of spectators and – whether he selects to confess it or not – has taken over as the face of American golf. If he keeps form for the rest of the year

then Watson has a very good opportunity to clinch the victory in the FedExCup.

Based on what Watson told on Tuesday he would do if he registers victory in the FedExCup and its $10mn bounty, Bubba spectators might want to root against that result.

“I would quit golf,” Watson asserted, drawing laughter. “Until that capital ran out and then I can come back and play.

He explained on his objectives for the money were he to win it with the planning and forethought that Watson naturally denies he has on the course.

“There are lots of things I wish to do. I have a friend who wants to start a church, so if I won it this year, then I will be helping him to build a church in North Carolina. The folks that know me close to my circle, I would rather give it away than have it to myself so it would be great to do something like that.”
