With the best collegiate women golfers in the nation in town, practice is in full swing at the Traditions Club for the NCAA Women's Golf Championship. One player in particular is getting a plenty of attention.

Cheyenne Woods is ranked 23rd in the nation but it is her uncle, Tiger Woods, that helps put the focus on the 20-year-old.

Cheyenne has been playing golf since she was about 6 and her first set of clubs came from her grandfather, Earl Woods.

The junior from Wake Forest won the Atlantic Coast Conference Championship past month and is gradually building her own career in spite of comparisons to her popular uncle.

"I have always had the judgments, but I have been able to distinguish myself from that, which has assisted me a lot growing up and being in junior golf and now collegiate golf," said Woods.

When you play the game of golf, suggestion comes from all directions. But for Cheyenne, taking suggestion from Uncle Tiger is very easy.

"He keeps up with how I am doing in school and how I am playing, so it is always nice to have that person who has been where you have been to go to and talk to for suggestions,"said Woods.

And even though he cannot be here, Tiger's concentration will be on B/CS this week as he cheers on his niece in her biggest golf tournament of her collegiate career.

Texas A&M will be paired up with Cheyenne Woods' school Wake Forest Wednesday and Thursday in the 1st and 2nd rounds of the NCAA Women's Golf Championship. Both teams will tee it up at 9:06 a.m. on Wednesday and tickets are still accessible to the championship.
