Let us face it, goalies are a unique breed. All hockey players are superstitious and have some funky traditions that they have probably been doing since they had been young boys.
But goalies are the definition of strange in all of sports. They would not skate over lines, they will only skate on one side of the rink during strikes of play, they’ve those funky dances they do in the crease prior to each period. Goalies are just strange beings. But they are incredible athletes. They wow us every night when they stand on their heads and make us squirm in pain when they go down to make a save with their gumby-like serenity.
While all goalies are unique athletes, there were a few over the years that had been extra special. Following are the 20 best puckstoppers in the history of the Stanley Cup Playoffs.
