In Saturday night's Sprint Showdown – the final opportunity for qualifying the NASCAR Sprint All-Star Race – there will be 2 transfer spots up for grabs.
The Fords of AJ Allmendinger and David Ragan will catch the head start in the forty lap event, as they eligible on the Showdown's pole and outside pole spots, correspondingly, on Friday afternoon.
"We have fought a bit and have not gotten the finishes we required, but this is our type of racetrack," Ragan asserted. "...Our car is good one; we have just got to place ourselves in an accurate position."
Brad Keselowski, Jeff Burton and Paul Menard and rounded out the top 5, with fan beloved Dale Earnhardt Jr. starting 13th.
The Showdown that will have 2 twenty lap segments takes the top 2 drivers and sets them into the All-Star Race, alongside with the winner of a fan vote.
On Friday, Sprint declared the top 5 of the fan vote as: Earnhardt Jr., Allmendinger, Joey Logano, and Bobby Labonte.
