USA Swimming collaborates with Praesidium

United States of America Swimming (USA Swimming) is collaborating with the firm Praesidium, a nationwide leader in sex exploitation risk management, to create a complete athlete security education program. The budge is part of current response to quite a few court cases stating that USA Swim coaches physically abused young lady swimmers.

“We are proud of the educational services we are offering,” said Jamie Olsen, director of brand management and communications at Colorado Springs, Colo.-based USA Swimming. “Together with the rest of our athlete security efforts, this is something that will carry on growing and evolving, as we maintain our concentration and promise to providing a safe atmosphere for all our associates.”

Praesidium is going to work in combination with United States of America Swimming’s Athlete Protection Committee to generate personalized materials for grown-up non-athlete associates and age-appropriate materials for parents and athletes, available beginning this summer.

Based on Olsen, the program is going to roll out with online material — an “education unit, comprising of research-based program, which has been personalized to be suitable for our sport.”
